CHRISTMAS NUGGETS

CHRISTMAS NUGGETS

·         JESUS CHRIST IS THE CELEBRANT; THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

 ·         IF A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IS IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, CELEBRATING IT WITH A CORRECT REASON AND IN A CORRECT WAY DESPITE HOW IT IS CELEBRATED BY SO MANY PEOPLE DOES NOT MAKE ITS CELEBRATION UNGOLDLY NOR UNBIBLICAL. HENCE, THE CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS CAN STILL BE ON COURSE IF IT IS CELEBRATED WITH THE CORRECT CAUSE.

·         CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST WHO THOUGH BORN IN A DEMEANED PLACE CAME TO THE WORLD TO SAVE US FROM OUR SINS AND RESTORE US TO A WARM FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FATHER.

·         THE SEASON OF CHRISTMAS IS A SEASON WHERE THE FULLNESS OF TIME CAN BE FULFILLED IN A MAN’S LIFE. IT IS A PERIOD IN WHICH GOD’S PURPOSE CAN BE BORN IN YOUR LIFE.

·         “MARY BROUGHT FORTH HER FIRSTBORN SON…” COULD MEAN THAT YOU CAN BREAK FORTH INTO GOD’S DIVINE ORDINATION AND PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE THIS SEASON IF YOU HAVE HITHERTO NOT COME INTO IT.

 ·         IT IS AN ERROR TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH FEASTINGS AND LOTS MORE WHEN INFACT YOU HAVE NOT FATHOM YOUR PURPOSE FOR CREATION. IT IS PURPOSELESS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WHEN YOU HAVE NOT DERIVED YOUR PURPOSE FOR EXISTENCE AND LIVING. TODAY, YOU CAN BREAK FORTH INTO THE PURPOSE (S) OF GOD FOR YOUR LIFE IF ONLY YOU WILL CREATE ROOM FOR THE CELEBRANT THIS SEASON.

 ·         CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IS ALSO A SEASON WHEN THAT WHICH IS CONCEIVED OF THE HOLY GHOST IN OUR LIVES CAN BE ACTUALIZED. GOD’S PURPOSE AND COUNSEL CAN BE CERTAINLY BORN IN OUR LIVES IF IT’S TIME FOR MANIFESTATION IS FULLY COME.

 ·         THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCESSING AND ACTUALIZING GOD’S PURPOSE THIS SEASON OF CHRISTMAS IS DEPENDENT ON WHETHER YOU WILL CREATE ROOM FOR JESUS CHRIST IN THE INN OF YOUR HEART. WOULD YOU CREATE A SPACE FOR JESUS IN YOUR HEART THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON?

·         AN INN IS A LODGING PLACE; A GUEST CHAMBER; A PLACE OF REST; A LODGMENT AND AN ENCAMPMENT. THIS INN HAPPENED TO BE A PLACE JESUS CHRIST WAS DENIED ACCESS TO BE GIVEN BIRTH TO BY THE INN-KEEPER.

 ·         IF THE INN KEEPER WAS SENSITIVE TO KNOW THAT IN THE WOMB OF MARY WAS JESUS CHRIST THE SAVIOUR OF THE WHOLE WORLD, HE WOULD HAVE CREATED A ROOM FOR MARY AND JOSEPH IN THE INN OR EVEN IN HIS PRIVATE CHAMBERS/RESIDENCE.

·         THE BIBLE DIDN’T RECORDED THE NAME (S) OF THE INN-KEEPER (S) WHO BOLDLY TOLD MARY AND JOSEPH THAT THERE WAS NO ROOM AGAIN FOR THEM IN THE INN, BUT ONE THING I AM FULLY AWARE OF IS THE FACT THAT THE INN-KEEPER SQUANDERED THE OPPORTUNITY OF HIM BEING ASSOCIATED WITH THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST.

·

·         THE INN-KEEPER WAS INSENSITIVE TO THAT WHICH WAS CONCEIVED IN THE WOMB OF MARY, HENCE, MISSED THE CHANCED OF HIS NAME BEING CAPTURED IN THE ANAL OF HISTORY.

·         IN RELATION TO OUR LIVES, OUR HEART IS THE INN (PLACE OF LODGMENT) WHERE JESUS CHRIST WANTS TO DWELL THIS SEASON AND BEYOND, SO THAT HIS PURPOSES AND PLANS FOR OUR LIVES CAN BE ACTUALIZED.

·

·         NOT ONLY IS OUR HEARTS THE INN, BUT THAT WE ARE THE INN-KEEPER WHO CAN DETERMINE WHETHER JESUS CHRIST SHOULD DWELL IN OUR INN (HEART) TO BIRTH HIS PURPOSE IN AND THROUGH US OR HE DECIDES TO FIND A MANGER ENVIRONMENT (MOST DESPISED PEOPLES/THINGS) TO STILL BRING HIS PURPOSE INTO ACTUALIZATION.

·         CHRISTMAS SEASON IS A SEASON WHERE JESUS CHRIST WANTS TO FIND A DWELLING PLACE IN OUR LIVES FOR INTIMACY AND FOR PERMANENT DWELLING. JESUS CHRIST IS THE CELEBRANT AND HE WANTS TO DWELL IN THE INN OF YOUR HEART FOR AN EVERLASTING DWELLING AND/OR FOR FELLOWSHIP.

·         HE KNOCKS AT THE HEART OF UNBELIEVERS IN ORDER FOR HIM TO FIND A PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN THEIR LIVES, WHILE HE KNOCKS AT THE HEART OF BELIEVERS FOR CONTINUOUS INTIMACY. SO, WHOSOEVER YOU ARE; YOU WOULD NEED CHRIST THIS SEASON FOR A DWELLING PLACE IN YOUR HEART OR TO BE DRAWN TO A MORE INTIMATE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM IN THE SECRET PLACE.

·         CHRISTMAS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO CREATE A ROOM FOR JESUS CHRIST THIS SEASON. HE IS KNOCKING AT THE DOOR OF YOUR INN (HEART), THEREFORE, DON’T HEAR HIS VOICE AND REFUSE GIVEN HIM ACCESS TO COME IN AND DINE WITH YOU. DON’T BE INSENSITIVE LIKE THE INN-KEEPER WHO COULD TELL MARY AND JOSEPH THAT THERE WAS NO ROOM FOR THEM IN THE INN BECAUSE OF HIS UNAWARENESS TO PERCEIVE THE MESSIAH IN THE WOMB OF MARY.·

·         THE CELEBRANT HAPPENS TO BE JESUS CHRIST. HE IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. OUR HEART IS THE INN WHILE WE ARE THE INN-KEEPERS. WE ALONE CAN DECIDE TO SHUT-UP COMPLETELY THE BIRTHINGS OF CHRIST’ PURPOSES IN OUR LIVES OR DECIDE TO GIVE ACCESS FOR HIS PURPOSES TO THRIVE IN AND THROUGH OUR VESSELS.·

·         JESUS CHRIST AS THE CHIEF CELEBRANT OF CHRISTMAS SEEKS AN OCCASION TO FIND ACCESS INTO OUR HEARTS FOR A PERMANENT DWELLING OR/AND FOR INTIMACY.·

·         CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITHOUT CHRIST IS CRISIS. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITHOUT CHRIST IS CAUSELESS. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITHOUT CHRIST IS NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITHOUT HIM FINDING ACCESS INTO THE INN OF YOUR HEART IS NOTHING BUT A PURPOSELESS CELEBRATION. INDEED, CHRISTMAS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO CREATE OUR ROOMS FOR JESUS CHRIST TO LIVE AND RUN OUR LIVES.

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year

CHRISTMAS: AN OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE ROOM FOR THE CELEBRANT!!!

CHRISTMAS: AN OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE ROOM FOR THE CELEBRANT!!!

It is worthy to note that no celebration happens without a reason. We are in a season of celebration called Christmas. I grew up seeing people celebrating Christmas without a cause. But, in this small piece, I would want to draw our attention to the fact that Christmas is about the celebrant. You may want to ask, who is this celebrant? In a simple response to the question of your heart, I want to categorically respond by saying that Jesus Christ is the celebrant; the reason for the season.

I am fully aware that some persons and Church denominations don’t believe in the celebration of Christmas partly because of the causelessness and the carelessness of how it is celebrated and also on the ground that it is not out-rightly stipulated as an injunction for us to commemorate in the Holy Bible. In my simple opinion to these reasons, I would want you to know that if a celebration is in the name of Jesus Christ, celebrating it with a correct reason and in a correct way despite how it is celebrated by so many people does not make its celebration ungoldly nor unbiblical. Hence, the celebration of Christmas can still be on course if it is celebrated with the correct cause.

It is pertinent to know that Christmas celebration is a window for us to create room for the celebrant (Christ). Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ who though born in a demeaned place came to the world to save us from our sins and restore us to a warm fellowship with the Father. I was drawn to a bible passage of Luke 2:6-7 (KJV) which says that “And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” At this point, Joseph and Mary were in Bethlehem to be censused as citizens of that city. But it so happened that the days of Mary’s fullness of time came for her to be delivered of her firstborn son in this period of census. This suggests that the season of Christmas is a season where the fullness of time can be fulfilled in a man’s life. It is a period in which God’s purpose can be born in your life. “Mary brought forth her firstborn son…” could mean that you can break forth into God’s divine ordination and purpose for your life this season if you have hitherto not come into it. It is an error to celebrate Christmas with feastings and lots more when infact you have not fathom your purpose for creation. It is purposeless to celebrate Christmas when you have not derived your purpose for existence and living. Today, you can break forth into the purpose (s) of God for your life if only you will create room for the celebrant this season. The fullness of time for the delivery of Jesus Christ could not be aborted on the account of the inn-keeper not reserving a room for Mary and Joseph in the inn. Jesus’s birth was unstoppable because He was conceived of the Holy Ghost. Christmas celebration is also a season when that which is conceived of the Holy Ghost in our lives can be actualized. God’s purpose and counsel can be certainly born in our lives if it’s time for manifestation is fully come. Verse 7 of Luke 2 opined that: “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” In reality, the possibility of accessing and actualizing God’s Purpose this season of Christmas is dependent on whether you will create room for Jesus Christ in the inn of your heart. Would you create a space for Jesus in your heart this Christmas season?

What is an Inn? Further to this question is this: why is Christmas a season of creating a room for Jesus Christ in your heart?

An Inn is a lodging place; a guest chamber; a place of rest; a lodgment and an encampment. This Inn happened to be a place Jesus Christ was denied access to be given birth to by the inn-keeper. I submit that Jesus Christ was denied access because of the insensitivity of the inn-keeper to perceive who Virgin Mary was carrying in her womb. If the Inn keeper was sensitive to know that in the womb of Mary was Jesus Christ the saviour of the whole world, he would have created a room for Mary and Joseph in the Inn or even in his private chambers/residence. For every inn, there is an inn-keeper. The bible didn’t recorded the name (s) of the inn-keeper (s) who boldly told Mary and Joseph that there was no room again for them in the inn, but one thing I am fully aware of is the fact that the inn-keeper squandered the opportunity of him being associated with the birth of Jesus Christ. The inn-keeper was insensitive to that which was conceived in the womb of Mary, hence, missed the chanced of his name being captured in the anal of history.

As earlier stated above, the inn happened to be a place of lodgment and encampment. In relation to our lives, our heart is the inn (place of lodgment) where Jesus Christ wants to dwell this season and beyond, so that His purposes and plans for our lives can be actualized. Not only is our hearts the inn, but that we are the inn-keeper who can determine whether Jesus Christ should dwell in our inn (heart) to birth His purpose in and through us or He decides to find a manger environment (Most despised peoples/things) to still bring his purpose into actualization. In a nutshell, Christmas season is a season where Jesus Christ wants to find a dwelling place in our lives for intimacy and for permanent dwelling. Jesus Christ is the celebrant and He wants to dwell in the inn of your heart for an everlasting dwelling and/or for fellowship. Jesus is knocking at the heart of both unbelievers and believers this season of Christmas. He knocks at the heart of unbelievers in order for Him to find a permanent residence in their lives, while He knocks at the heart of believers for continuous intimacy. So, whosoever you are; you would need Christ this season for a dwelling place in your heart or to be drawn to a more intimate fellowship with Him in the secret place. The book of Revelation 3:20 (KJV) says that “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” The bible says “…if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him…” This is suggestive to the fact that Christmas celebration is about the celebrant (Christ) finding entrance into the heart of anyone who wishes to open his or her inn (heart) for Christ. There is no doubt therefore to say that Christmas is an opportunity for you to create a room for Jesus Christ this season. He is knocking at the door of your inn (heart), therefore, don’t hear His voice and refuse given him access to come in and dine with you. Don’t be insensitive like the Inn-keeper who could tell Mary and Joseph that there was no room for them in the inn because of his unawareness to perceive the Messiah in the womb of Mary.

The Celebrant happens to be Jesus Christ. He is the reason for the season. Our heart is the inn while we are the inn-keepers. We alone can decide to shut-up completely the birthings of Christ’ purposes in our lives or decide to give access for His purposes to thrive in and through our vessels. Jesus Christ as the Chief celebrant of Christmas seeks an occasion to find access into our hearts for a permanent dwelling or/and for intimacy. Christmas celebration without Christ is crisis.

LIVING AND WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

LIVING AND WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

It is quite disheartening to see many people claiming to have the Holy Spirit living inside of them but still live their lives untraceable to the Holy Spirit who happens to be the Spirit of Holiness (Rom.1:4), Truth (John 16:13), Grace (Zech.12:10) and Life (Rom.8:2). This is a problematic situation in this our 21st Century practice of Christianity where a poisonous doctrine of ‘once-saved, always-saved’ has licensed many to walk contrary against the Holy Spirit biddings claiming to still have the presence of the Holy Spirit living in their inside. Owing to the problem couched above, it is pertinent to know that there are such dimensions of the Holy Spirit as thus: the person of the Holy Spirit, the presence of the Holy Spirt, the power of the Holy Spirit and the principles of the Holy Spirit. If all these dimensions are not properly understood, there is a great possibility of not maximally maximizing the full imports of the Holy Spirit carriage.

Living and walking in the Spirit are two critical experiences that need to be interconnectedly lived if the proof of Jesus’ life must be drawn from our life. Living in the Spirit deals with the positional (legal) reality of a born-again Christian while walking in the Spirt deals with the practical (living) reality of a born-again Christian. As believers, our second birth grants us a definite entry into Christ. The bible says that: “…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Cor. 5:17, KJV). Being in Christ affords us the presence of the Holy Spirt as a seal in our hearts (Eph.1:13-14). Hence, living in the Spirit can technically be seeing as a believer having his dwelling place in Christ as well as the Holy Spirt finding His dwelling place in man. No wonder the bible says: “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit” (1 Cor.12:13, KJV).

Beyond ourselves living in the Spirt, there is such a life-long experience of walking in the Spirt. To walk in the Spirt affords the opportunity for us to obey the principles (instructions and commands) of the Holy Spirit resident in our spirit man in order that Christ’s life be practically observed from our daily lives. To walk in the Spirt is to be brought into the control and influence of the Holy Spirit person. The formational aspect of our Christian life is made possible by keeping a step-by-step walk with the Holy Spirit. Christ’s real life is being formed in our lives not automatically because we are in Christ but as a result of our continuous obedience to the Holy Spirit principles (ethics, values and laws) which does not and has never contradict His nature as being the Spirit of Holiness, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of Grace and the Spirit of Life. There is what the bible calls the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. It is with this law of the Spirit that we are meant to walk in the Spirit never gratifying the desires of the flesh. The bible says that: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:1-2). I can be justified at this point after scripturally positing and juxtaposing living and walking in the Spirit to opine that a believer can live in the Spirit without walking in the Spirt but a believer cannot walk in the Spirit without living in the Spirit”

The priority of this write-up is to show the true way for us to walk in the Spirit by practicing the presence of the Holy Spirit (Yielding to the leadings and promptings of the Spirit). The manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit is not a true indices that a man is walking in the Spirit. Living a lascivious lifestyle perpetually and intentionally contrary against the Holy Spirit person and essence claiming to be living in the Spirit is nothing but a pointer that you are obviously not having a place in Christ. Ideally, it is the principles (laws) of the Holy Spirit that should regulate our lives to walk in the Spirit. The bible says: “…if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law” (Gal. 5:18, KJV). The fact that we are not under the law does not mean that we should live lawlessly as believers. In fact, The Holy Spirit does not leave us without His laws. The bible says as quoted earlier that: “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” (Rom. 8:2, KJV). The Life you live will be determined by where you live; either in the flesh or in the Spirit. Where you live will determine the law that regulates your life; either the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus or the law of sin and death. The law that regulates your life will determine who you please and who you are of; either of Christ or the devil. Who you are of will determine who you walk after; either after the flesh or after the Sprit. The bibles says that: “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Rom. 8:8-9, KJV).

In conclusion, it is worthy to note that God is looking for Christians whose lives should not only be lived in the Spirit but to walk in the Spirit by daily adhering to the leadings, stirrings, promptings, pressings, wooing, control, and quickening of the Holy Spirit. The bible speaks of this when it says that:  If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. (If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.)” (Gal. 5:25, AMP). May God empower us to walk in the Spirit in this perverse generation of ours in Jesus name. Amen.
